Crossing the Pecos

Another great day's riding. Remarkably similar to yesterday's in fact. We threaded our way through the narrow valleys of Brewster, Pecos and Terrell counties. The road was consistently downhill, and with a sweet tail wind we made great time and had fun speeding along in top gear.

We arrived in Sanderson mid-afternoon, so messed around town, eating second-lunch at the only open cafe, then showering in the high school gym before pitching our tents on a seemingly abandoned baseball field. There isn't much to this town of 800 souls, its only merit being that there is precious little else around.
